Le mot du surintendant
There are various species of turf-forming grasses at Golf La Prairie. Annual blue grass and bent grass make up the greens. The annual blue grass, also known as “poa”, dominates the greens built from natural soil. From the start of year 2003, eight new greens were built according to the USGA design principles with bent grass.
Annual blue grass and bent grass also make up the fairways, the tee-off areas and the approaches. Two fairways renovated in the last few years are covered with a new variety of short-cut Kentucky blue grass. The roughs are completely made of meadow grass.
You will find on this 6,732 yards course, 72 sand traps and 11 major stretches of water, and water comes into play on 16 of the 18 holes.
