It all started in 1963 when Howard Watson suggested to Henri Dancause, owner of the Boulevard de La Prairie Hotel to build a golf course in order to increase his client base. The project was created, and Howard Watson was the architect who designed the original course in 1964. At the beginning of the 80s, Golf La Prairie was forced to decrease the length of four holes, and it is Graham Cooke who was commissioned to rebuild the 2 greens and the 2 tee off areas. From 2002 through 2008, the course was completely modified based on the design of the architect Claude St-Pierre to become the fantastic golf course we have today.
